Work records

  • Repair order: the live record of one workshop visit. It holds the customer, vehicle, work, and every step from arrival to handover.

  • Job card: a unit of work inside a repair order. A repair order can have several job cards, each with its own tasks.

  • Task: a single piece of work on a job card, with labour time and parts.

Inspections

  • Inspection: a checklist run against a template, where technicians record findings, severity, and evidence.
  • Finding: something an inspection turns up. A finding can become a quote recommendation and later be marked resolved.
  • Severity: how urgent a finding is. The same coloured squares appear on inspection items, findings, and customer reports.

Money

  • Quote: priced work sent to the customer for approval. A sent quote is locked to what the customer saw.

  • Invoice: your record of sale for the approved work. The full report is a separate document.

People and places

  • Role: what a team member can see and do. A technician with lead duties carries the LEAD badge.
