Getting more help
When an article does not cover your situation, there are three paths from inside Openhood: search the help center, ask the support team, or report a bug. The last two live in the account menu, under your avatar at the top right of the app.
Search the help center
Press Cmd/Ctrl + K anywhere in the help center to open search. Type a task or a word from what you see on screen, such as a status name or a button label, and jump straight to the matching article.
Search by what you see
Every walkthrough uses the real Openhood interface, so the words in an article match the words on your screen. Searching the label you are looking at is usually the fastest way in.
The help center home groups guides by task. If you are not sure of the exact term, browsing the category closest to what you are doing often gets you there.
Ask the support team
Get Support in the account menu opens a request the support team follows up on.
- Open the account menu and choose Get Support.
- Describe what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- Attach up to three screenshots if they help, by pasting or uploading a PNG or JPEG.
- Choose how you want to be reached: a phone call, an email, or a reply in the app. Phone and email are prefilled from your profile for you to confirm.
- Send it. The request lodges as one ticket the support team can act on.
The reply finds you
If you chose an in-app reply, the support chat opens on screen when the answer lands. Otherwise the team reaches you on the phone number or email you gave. Your request automatically carries the page you were on and any recent errors, so you do not need to describe those.
Chat live
When a support agent is online, a floating support button appears in the corner of the app. Click it to chat in real time. The chat is one continuous conversation: your earlier requests and replies stay in the same stream, and it is private to you, not visible to the rest of your team.
Report a bug
If something looks broken rather than confusing, Report Bug sends evidence straight to the engineering queue.
- Open the account menu and choose Report Bug. A bug button appears at the bottom right and the pointer becomes a picker.
- Click the thing that is broken, even inside an open dialog. The report captures which element you pointed at.
- Describe what is going wrong. Optionally add what you were trying to do, and up to three screenshots by paste or upload.
- Submit. The launcher stays available if you spot something else.
Bug report or support request?
A bug report is engineering evidence, not a conversation, so no reply comes back from it. If you need an answer or a workaround, use Get Support; the team can raise the bug on your behalf as well.
