Plan the week in the Diary

The Diary is the forward planner. You are on it when you are placing bookings against the days the shop can actually absorb, rather than sequencing today's floor.

Views and the capacity line

Switch between Day, Week, and Month views; narrow screens project everything to a single day. Booking cards stack per day, and each day header shows capacity: gross versus bookable hours with a reserve held back, coloured by how loaded the day is.

Day schedule edits use four hour kinds: Full-day, Half-day, Custom, and Closed.

The Booking Inbox rail

Pre-arrival comms land in the Booking Inbox rail on the left of the Diary. It is the worklist of enquiries waiting on a booking; each enquiry carries a Create booking action that opens the new booking with the customer prefilled.

The interactions that matter

  1. Pick a view and read the day headers to find days with bookable hours left.
  2. Start a booking from the + add control, or from an enquiry's Create booking in the Booking Inbox rail.
  3. Rebook by dragging a booking card to another day. The same repair order moves; nothing is duplicated.
  4. Record a no-show with notes and a rebook date when a customer does not arrive.
  5. Adjust a day's hours with Full-day, Half-day, Custom, or Closed when the schedule changes.

Diary plans days, Bay View plans bays

The Diary decides which day a visit lands on. Sequencing that day's work into bays and technicians happens on Bay View.
